lifeThe Property Council of Australia’s Ken Morrison is out today with advertisements trying to justify the parasitism of negative gearing real estate purchases – where you have the 90% of taxpayers who don’t negatively gear subsidise the 10% using the negative gearing lurk to buy more and more ‘investment’ properties, pricing housing out of the reach of young Australians.

You’ll probably get a ‘gong’ for getting your ads out, Ken, because Mitch Hooke got one for spending $22 million of the mining industry’s funds to keep the mining rent owed equally to all Australians in the hands of the mining companies.

We pay great obeisance to those who nakedly rent-seek at others’ expense.
