My questions:
- When will both the Liberal and Labor parties finally acknowledge that deficit budgets are essential, and surpluses usually problematical (and recession-generating)? Wouldn’t speaking as truthfully put an end to all the neoliberal ‘austerity’ nonsense to which the public is constantly being subjected?
2. As for Federal/State Relations: Does not the federal government need to provide the states sufficient funding for public health, education and safety, without getting the states into debt?
3. Red Tape: What better way of removing ‘red tape’ than abolishing the more than one hundred taxes which Australia’s Future Tax System (‘The Henry Tax Review) had recommended for removal back in 2010?
