The entire issue of Australia’s love affair of deducting losses reminds me of the Financial Advisor who advisers his client to throw all of his money into a rubbish bin. The client then looks at his advisor in total disbelief until the advisor says ‘but it’s tax deductible’.
The client then throws all his savings into the bin.
